Beginners
Level
The
beginners French course is ideal for those with no French, or a very
basic level of
spoken French. This is an introductory beginners course.
All the lessons are geared towards the basic requirements needed for
everyday day communication. The
lessons listed below are an example of the type of topics that may be
covered during the two days.
The
lessons will include a combination of activities, role play and formal
teaching. There will be an 'icebreaker' incorporated into the first
lesson.
Duration:
10 hours
(with breaks and activities)
Lesson
1/
Introductions.
Making
polite conversation, eg. the weather, introducing yourself, etc.
Lesson
2/
Basic
telephone etiquette, ie. answering the phone and making phone calls.
Lesson
3/
Health
matters: visiting the doctor, the dentist, going to the chemist.
Lesson
4/
Key
phrases when out shopping, at the market, in the restaurant, at the bank, post office,
hairdresser, etc.
Lesson
5/
Practical
matters, eg. asking directions, car hire, taking your car to
the garage
Lesson
6/
Dealing
with problems, eg. returning goods, making a complaint, etc.
Lesson
7/
Entertaining
French friends, eg. talking about interests, holidays, etc.
