Intermediate Level 

The intermediate level course is ideally suited for those with a basic level in French, who wish to improve their general communication skills.

The lessons will focus on practical situations, tenses and some grammar will be covered. The lessons listed below are an example of the type of topics that may be covered during the two days.

The lessons will include a combination of activities, role play and formal teaching. There will be an 'icebreaker' incorporated into the first lesson.

Duration: 10 hours (with breaks and activities)

Lesson 1/

Informal Introductions.

Lesson 2/            

Making formal phone calls, eg. complaining, dealing with problems, etc.

Lesson 3/            

Health matters:  visiting the doctor,  describing symptoms, dentist, etc.

Lesson 4/             

Entertaining, eg. discussing the  weather, future plans, personal interests, etc.

Lesson 5/      

One-to-one. This is an opportunity to speak freely to a native French speaker who cannot speak English, ie. a relaxed conversation to the best of your ability.

Lesson 6/              

DIY matters, eg. gardening, building and restoration, car problems, etc.

Lesson 7/             

Financial matters, eg. talking to banks, insurance companies, etc.
