Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

A provisional booking is a temporary reservation. A 25% deposit is required to confirm your booking which is non-refundable if you decide to cancel your holiday. The balance is to be paid 6 weeks in advance of your holiday. If you are booking less than 6 weeks before the start of your holiday, full payment is required. If the full balance is not received by the due date, we do reserve the right to cancel your booking.

The prescribed number of persons per cottage should be respected. We do accept payment in Sterling or Euros.  If you are booking direct with us, payment by bank transfer is preferred. If you are booking via Tripadvisor, you can pay direct with them by card payment method.

If you are booking via Holiday France Direct, you may be entitled to a discount with Brittany Ferries.

On arrival, or a couple of days before the start of your holiday, you will be asked to pay a security deposit which will be fully refunded on your departure, providing that you have left the accommodation undamaged. We will request a security deposit of 200€ or £180 per cottage sleeping up to 4 guests; 400€ or £360 per cottage sleeping up to 5 guests, payable by bank transfer 2 days before arrival (and refunded within 3 days of departure by bank transfer) or cash on arrival, refundable on departure.

2. Prices

Prices are per week per gîte and are inclusive of electricity, gas, water (although the use of electric convectors during the cooler periods is charged 25€/ convector/ week). The rental prices are in Sterling and can be converted into euros (the exchange rate on the date of the booking will be used).

We can provide bed linen and bath towels if required, at an additional cost of 15€/person.

From April to the end of September, the town charges all holidaymakers a local tax ('taxe de séjour') of 0.88€/ adult/ night payable at the start of your holiday.

3. Cancellation

In the very unlikely event of a cottage being unavailable on the day stated, due to unforeseen circumstances, every attempt will be made to relocate guests.  If this is not possible, even more unlikely, all rent monies will be refunded without question but no further liability will fall upon the owners.

If you book direct with us and cancel your holiday, a refund of your balance payment will be provided when/ if your dates are rebooked by someone else.

4. Your responsibilities

Your property will be cleaned before your arrival and we respectfully ask you to remember that you are staying in someone else's home and to leave it clean and tidy when you depart. If extra cleaning is required a minimum charge of 60€ will be levied. We offer an end-of-stay cleaning option for 60€ to take the bother off if wished.

Breakages should be reported to the owners in order that it can be rectified before the next clients arrive.  Please do not arrive at the property before 4.00 p.m. and kindly leave by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure (otherwise you could be charged extra rental) in order to give enough time between clients to ensure that the property is ready.  If you expect to arrive after 8.00 p.m. please telephone or message us.

5. Complaints

In the event of any complaint arising, either on arrival or after occupation has commenced, this should be brought to the attention of the owners immediately so that remedial action, where necessary, can be taken without delay.  We will do everything possible to deal with any difficulties both quickly and effectively.  The owners retain the right to enter the property at any reasonable time to deal with any complaints and to carry out any repairs deemed necessary to the property or equipment.

8. General

Whilst every possible effort will be made to maintain the household equipment in good order for the enjoyment of our guests we cannot accept liability in the event of any unforeseen calamity but would ask you to bear with us whilst we attempt to rectify the problem as soon as possible. We accept smokers but only outside of the property. Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets.
