1.
Booking and Payment
A
provisional booking is a temporary reservation. We require a 25%
reservation deposit to secure your
booking which is non-refundable if you cancel your holiday. The due balance is to be paid 8 weeks in advance of your holiday and is
non-refundable. You are advised to take out travel insurance to cover the
cost of unforeseen issues. If you are
booking less than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, full payment
is required. If the full balance is not received by the due date, we do
reserve the right to cancel your booking and to re-advertise your weeks. The prescribed number of persons per cottage
must be respected. We do accept payment in Sterling or Euros. If you are booking
direct with us, payment by bank transfer is preferred. On
arrival, or a couple of days before the start of your holiday, you will be
asked to pay a security deposit which will be fully refunded within 3-5
days of departure, providing that you have left the accommodation undamaged and
clean (if cleaning option is not selected). If cleaning option is
selected, the gite should be left in a reasonable state after normal use,
having been treated with care throughout your stay. We
will request a security deposit of 200€ or £200 per cottage sleeping up
to 3 guests; 400€ or £400 per cottage sleeping up to 4-5 guests, payable
by bank transfer 2 days before arrival (and refunded within 3 days of
departure by bank transfer).
2.
Prices
Prices
are per week per gîte and are inclusive of electricity, gas, water
(although the use of electric convectors during the cooler periods is
charged 50€/ convector/ week). The rental prices are in Sterling and can
be converted into euros (the exchange rate on the date of the booking will
be used).
We
can provide bed linen and bath towels if required, at an additional cost
of 15€/person.
From
April to the end of September, the town charges all holidaymakers a very
small local
tax ('taxe de séjour') of 0.88€/ adult/ night (or 1.26€/adult/night
for the Holiday Cottage) payable at the start of
your holiday.
3.
Cancellation
In
the very unlikely event of a
cottage being unavailable on the day stated, due to unforeseen circumstances,
every attempt will be made to relocate guests.
If this is not possible, even more unlikely, all rent monies will be refunded without
question but no further liability will fall upon the owners.
4.
Your responsibilities
Your
property will be cleaned before your arrival and we respectfully ask you
to remember that you are staying in someone else's home and to leave it
clean and tidy when you depart. If extra cleaning is required a minimum
charge of 60€ will be levied. We offer an end-of-stay cleaning option
for 60€ to take the bother off if wished.
Bins
need to be emptied regularly to avoid infestations especially during hot
periods. Negligence in this respect may lead to further cleaning costs
being levied.
Breakages
should be reported to the owners in order that it can be rectified before
the next clients arrive. Please
do not arrive at the property before 4.00 p.m. and kindly leave by 10.00
a.m. on the day of departure (otherwise you could be charged extra rental)
in order to give enough time between clients to ensure that the property
is ready. If you expect to
arrive after 8.00 p.m. please telephone or message us.
5.
Swimming
Pool
Use
of the pool is exclusive to paying guests, not visitors.

able to swim competently. This rule is an issue of 'health and safety' and
legal liability and must be respected at all times. Failure to respect
this rule may result in access to the swimming pool being denied to you
during your stay.
6.
Complaints
In
the event of any complaint arising, either on arrival or after occupation
has commenced, this should be brought to the attention of the owners
immediately so that remedial action, where necessary, can be taken without
delay. We will do everything
possible to deal with any difficulties both quickly and effectively.
The owners retain the right to enter the property at any reasonable
time to deal with any complaints and to carry out any repairs deemed
necessary to the property or equipment.
